3B (Boys 1968/69) "Flo" will be able to recite this verbatim. It took Dave Clarke, Jeremy and myself to recall these possibles and probables - but we were very young at the time. I agree with Dave and Caroline (Hi Caroline), and would also thank you for co-founding with Fr Irwin and running with he and Steve King - the Youth Club! 1968/69 was THE high point in our 14 or so years in education and I look back on it very fondly indeed. Hiya all at Christ Church hope you are all well! Really great to see your web site! I was for 3 years the administrator and I loved working there! Mr. Florence was fabulous and we had some wonderful teachers! Reading the comments from the pupils made me really smile! Remembering who they are referring to and agreeing with their comments! At that age school makes such an impact on their lifes and Christ Church made such a mark on them with their encourgagement and such great commitment! I am a finance officer in a secondary school now (2500 students) one of the largest in the country and to hear some of the students makes me thing to myself..... they would not have got away with that at Christ Church!!! Now I feel old... I was at Christchurch during the 60's, and Mr Florence taught me in his NQT year. One of 4 Hiltons. I have been told that you never forget the children in your first year at school...... all I can say to that is "Sorry".

I attended CC about 20 years ago (OMG!). I remember Mr. Florence teaching us our timestables and how we used to have to recite them over and over again. I can't believe he is retiring... good luck Mr. Florence!

it's 25 years since i left christ church and dear mr florence who was then my form and history teacher and to this day they are very much in my heart and every time i stop outside the gates or go into church a small tear of happiness is shed when i remember those wonderful memories especially singing the solo first verse of once in royal david city at the christmas service.

I was a student at the school many years ago (1988 - 1992) and I came across the website during a quiet moment at work.
I'm not sure if any of the teachers will remember me as I was quite quiet (my how things have changed) however I'm sure they're more likely to remember my brother (Adam) as he was quite cheeky!
For all those students who are still at CC - enjoy your time and the friends you make (I'm still in contact with most of mine nearly 18 years later!)

Even though it was the biggest pleasure to skip merrily to school each mornin'!

We send our love to everyone from our new home in Moscow. The snow is still really deep and great for snowball fights, and there is an ice-slide in our playground. It was great to visit you just before Christmas - see you in July.
